5) Little Kids, Big Tobacco

Although US law prevent children from smoking they can legally work on tobacco farms where they absorb more nicotine daily than found in a pack of cigarettes.It is reported that over 250,000 youths work annually on non-family farms for less than minimum wage.In a study of child tobacco farmers aged 7 to 17,60- hour work weeks were reported and 66% suffered nicotine poisoning while 50% also reported to carcinogenic pesticides being sprayed while they are working.They absorb as much as 54mg dissolved nicotine in a single day, equivalent to 50 cigarettes, with unknown long term effects.
