Last week, Rihanna released a teaser for her raunchy new music video, before releasing the full video on Monday.
The singer released two videos for the song, with the first a lot raunchier than the other.
The first video sees the pair surrounded by people who, including Rihanna, are dancing raunchily in a smoke-filled room. The second shows the two stars alone in a pink-tinted room, with rapper Drake looking on lustily as Rihanna parades her body in a sheer halter top with no bra.
The song is called Work and Rihanna’s hard work is certainly paying off in the industry. The song is her 14th Billboard Hot 100 number one, which puts her ahead of pop legend Michael Jackson, and third on the all-time list.
But if Rihanna was expecting a pat on the back, she woke up to a slap in the face from twitter provocateur Banks, who these days is more renowned for her bust-ups than her music.
Banks tore into Rihanna, claiming her new video was a blatant rip-off of Beyonce’s 2002 effort ‘Baby Boy’, and paled in comparison.
“Work video reminds me of baby boy video with Sean Paul except not as fly,” she tweeted. Considering that Rihanna is rumoured to hate Beyonce, and allegedly bailed on a performance at the Grammy’s because of the MOTIVATION singer, that quip was designed to sting.
