On Wednesday (July 26), the 24-year-old vocalist posted a photograph of herself in a dull room, sitting on a bed, playing guitar alongside the inscription “Seems all I can do…is write songs about YOU… ❤️❤️❤️.” Since Miley and Liam reunited last year, the pair has been incredibly candid — both with the press and on the social media — about their relationship. In a recent interview with Billboard, Miley confirmed that the dreamy ballad “Malibu” was written about her significant other. “They’re going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam,” she explained. “So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, ‘This is how I feel’?”
