Other than being horrendous to venture on, LEGO is on our brains for another, substantially more joyful reason: Feminism. Consistently, LEGO takes recommendations from fans for new thoughts through their LEGO Ideas site — and this year, they’ve chosen to make a collectible arrangement of Women of NASA LEGO Minifigs, outlined by Maia Weinstock, representative supervisor of MIT News and science essayist. It sends a critical message to kids (and everybody, truly) all over the place: People can be whatever they need to be, paying little heed to their sex character. The Women of NASA proposition initially showed up on the Lego Ideas site back in July of 2016. By July 21, it had 1,000 supporters; by July 27, 5,000. It hit 10,000 supporters on Aug. 3, moving it on to LEGO’s audit arrange — and on Feb. 28, 2017, LEGO authoritatively reported that Women of NASA was affirmed for creation.
